The Legend That Inspired the Restaurant

During the era of Moorish rule in Spain, when cultural, religious, and social boundaries were strictly defined, a young Muslim warrior fell in love with a beautiful Christian peasant girl. Their love was dangerous—strictly forbidden—because their different religious and social backgrounds made their union impossible. However, their feelings proved stronger than fear. They met in secret, hiding from their families and authorities, dreaming of a future where their love could exist without threats. But the truth eventually came to light. They were betrayed, and their enraged families, condemning their relationship, handed down a terrible sentence: they were beheaded, forever separated in this world. According to legend, two red roses grew where their blood was spilled, reaching toward each other, as if continuing the love that was never allowed to flourish in life.
